About H Mart Philadelphia

Established in 1982.

H Mart is an Asian-American supermarket chain that has been in business for over 37 years. We specialize in Asian and American groceries, meats, seafood, produce, housewares, and ready-made meals. H Mart's success is due to our continuous commitment to the freshest ingredients in all our tasteful offerings, while never forgetting that value is just as important. Our culture brings in new customers every day because they can trust that we put our heart into all we do.

Located at 6201 N Front St #124, Philadelphia, PA 19120, H Mart Philadelphia operates as an asian grocery store serving Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 amโ€“9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (267) 338-1700. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, hmart.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 4,338 reviews, which is a strong result for an asian grocery store in Philadelphia and suggests consistent service.

Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Philadelphia is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We're liking this spot more and more...it's absolutely PACKED with some of the tastiest, freshest, hard to find and favorite items one can imagine and the prices are excellent. We see, with pleasure, that they are making progress with their staff too, as we are getting less of the one glaring drawback: snarky arrogant attitudes from their cashiers, who are less and less making it a point to glare at you, make you wait unnecessarily, throw around your items, throw your items into or not even bag your items, or go out of their way to place bagged items into you cart after bagging and avoid at all costs saying a simple 'thank you' when you check out - simple things that go a long way to more dollars being spent in the store that they clearly may hate to be working at, but which pays all their bills . Management paying attention to ensuring the cordial treatment of customers can only benefit sales, as people tend to patronize places that treat them nicely. But as we see improvement in this area every time we stop in, we are willing to give it time . Also, it is great that the two jitneys are always charged for disabled patrons to utilize, because that's a BIG help!

This is the second time Iโ€™ve bought frozen lobster here. Just like the last time, I steamed the lobster after bringing it home, and when I opened it up to prepare to eat it, I discovered that it was rotten and had a terrible smell (it was almost as if there were maggots inside ๐Ÿคข). The first time, I let it slide, but this time I am extremely disappointed. Itโ€™s disgusting that they are selling spoiled food like this to customers. Absolutely disgusting! ๐Ÿคฎ

Ate from Mirim at the food court by this Hmart. Got the Short rib for $25. It came with about 6 small pieces of short ribs on a plate full of cabbage and onions. Times are tough but come on, you can't raise the price and give us less food. It's 1 or the other, not both. Also got this noodle platter that looks nothing like what's on the picture (and what's on the pictures is so basic that all of the Hmart markets I go to sell it themselves). I have been there many times and have eaten from other stalls and have even gotten a Short Rib platter from there b4. Everything was good and fine. Just what i got from Mirim didn't sit right and then when I asked about it, the worker made it like I was crazy so I had to write a review.

This Hmart branch in Philadelphia is a large-scale life supermarket integrating grains, oils, rice, flour, eggs, dairy, fresh produce, vegetables, fruits, snacks, condiments, household items, health tonics, and food and beverage services. The trilingual signs in Chinese, English, and Korean are particularly convenient for Chinese shoppers. It offers not only fresh food and Asian snacks but also frozen foods, various household items, beauty and skincare products, and even large home appliances. There is something for everyone, and you are sure to leave with a full load after a visit. The variety of seafood, meat, vegetables and fruits is very complete. There are many kinds of Korean BBQ marinated meats that you can take home and grill directly. There are also frozen fresh products such as meatballs, dumplings and fish balls. You can start a hot pot right after taking them home. There are also many ready-made Korean specialties that you can eat directly without cooking. Kyodong Noodles for Chinese cuisine, Da Pan for Korean snacks, Mirim for traditional Korean dishes, and Bukchon for traditional Korean tofu hotpot - each has its own unique features and I want to try them all!
